Ricky has been a Los Angeles caricature artist for over 5 years. He studied Character Animation at CalArts and graduated in 2009 with a BFA. During his time there, he peeked an interest in caricature art, and with some encouragement from his Pops, he pursued caricatures professionally.
Since then, Ricky has drawn live caricatures at festivals, birthday parties, wedding receptions, proms, the L.A. Zoo, office and holiday parties, corporate events, and even baby showers, and has drawn custom caricature art, as well. He's drawn on the East and West of the U.S. of A.
In 2012, he won three Awards from the International Society of Caricature Artists: Rookie of the Year, Best Black and White Technique, and One of the Top Ten Caricature Artist of the Year.
He recently illustrated his first children's book for Disney, "Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes," inspired by the new Pixar film, "COCO."
